Unlocking Youth Potential: CCGA Empowers Youth on International Youth Day – 2023

Every year, on August 12th, the world comes together to celebrate International Youth Day, shining a spotlight on the incredible potential and aspirations of young people worldwide. It’s a day to champion their dreams and aspirations, and this year was no exception.

On the 12th of August, the National Youth Services Council orchestrated a monumental event, drawing in over 1500 youth from every corner of the country. Held at the prestigious National Youth Centre in Maharagama, this event was a platform for growth, learning, and empowerment.

For us at the Ceylon Career Guidance Association (CCGA), it was a privilege and an honor to be a part of this exceptional day as the Career Development Partner to the International Youth Day Programme. Our mission has always been to empower and guide the youth towards realizing their full potential, and this event was the perfect stage to do just that.

Throughout the day, we conducted a series of interactive career counselling sessions and engaging lectures, all designed to inspire and equip the youth with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the modern world. From career planning to personal development, our experts were on hand to provide invaluable guidance.

We firmly believe that the youth are the future of our nation, and it is our responsibility to nurture their talents and aspirations. International Youth Day isn’t just a day; it’s a reminder that every day should be an opportunity to invest in our youth, to guide them towards success, and to stand by them as they reach for the stars.
